The automated method for adding the account using the Google link provided by the Mail app no longer works. The latest version of Windows Mail has broken the settings for Gmail. I have done some further study into this problem.

I have seen on other boards that this occurred starting on that day, but I havent found any solutions posted yet. Earlier as well, Microsoft had acknowledged the issue with Gmail sync with the Windows 10 Mail app. Your tasks should now sync between Microsoft To Do and Outlook 2016 automatically.
